HISTORY
In the early '70s, Bob O. Bryan, P.E.,
the founder of RTD Associates, P.A., had an extensive involvement with facility
owners and engineers in regard to providing technical expertise and assistance
in resolving moisture intrusion-related problems, specifically in regard to
roofing and waterproofing.
The rate of premature roofing and
waterproofing failure was recognized as growing and represented extreme and
critical losses for building owners. The
failure factors were identified to be associated with all phases of roofing or
waterproofing, including the design, construction, quality control, material
performance, and insufficient maintenance by owners.
It was through this direct involvement
that Mr. Bryan became thoroughly familiar with this frustrating dilemma and
respective needs of the facility owner:
"Someone to provide objective and unbiased professional roofing or
waterproofing engineering and technology services to the facility owner, and
serve as a liaison between the owner and material supplier or contractor. Someone with the expertise to accurately
ascertain the source and cause of the problems, design the effective corrective
action, and provide quality assurance in the best interest and on behalf of the
owner."
Consequently, in September 1982, RTD
Associates, P.A., was formed as a Professional Engineering Firm specializing in
roofing and waterproofing technology, diagnostics, design, and project
management.
Having acquired extensive knowledge and
training through numerous years of practical experience in this specialized
area of construction, the highly-qualified staff of RTD Associates, P.A., began
servicing all facets of private industry and public agencies with professional
engineering services in the areas of:
roofing and waterproofing diagnostic studies, engineering, design,
specifications, contract assistance and administration, project management and
on-site quality control inspections, Roofing and Waterproofing Management
Program development, training seminars, and virtually any other service which
would assist the facility owner in obtaining and maintaining the watertight
integrity of his facility for maximum service life, greatly reduced risks, and
maximum return on roofing/waterproofing investment.
As the result of providing our
specialized roofing/waterproofing expertise to facility owners in both the
private and public sectors, RTD Associates, P.A., achieved tremendous success
in saving our clients millions of dollars in potential roofing or
waterproofing-related losses. Through
years of successful experience in dealing with thousands of facilities of all
types, RTD Associates, P.A., has gained national respect and recognition for
our professionalism and technical expertise.
As we continue our "strive for
excellence" in providing our roofing and waterproofing technology
expertise and related problem-solving assistance, we welcome the opportunity of

In January of 2004 Bob Bryan passed away
from a battle with cancer. Mr. Bryan was very professional as
the founder and leader of RTD Associates, P. A for
over 20 years. Bob believed in client satisfaction as the main goal of
his company. This was a loss that we could never replace. However
We could never replace the experience
and professionalism of Bob Bryan, however we have a very experienced staff and
look forward to continuing the relationships cultivated over the last 20 plus
years with our clients.
